Things are changing in the TV world as
different midseason shows are premiering. Pure Genius, which once replaced this
show, is now replaced itself with a terrible show called Training Day. Ugh.
CSI: New York was replaced ultimately with two comedies and one of them, The
Odd Couple, is now replaced by Superior Donuts. Code Black, which had replaced
CSI, was replaced by Doubt. Doubt was quickly cancelled, although it was a good
show and is instantly replaced by Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders. Also, my
laptop is starting to develop problems and might be nearing its natural death
if I don’t get too frustrated and through it out a window instead. In case
there are serious enough problems, this blog won’t be updated until they are
resolved.
Patricia
Arquette: The main star of CSI: Cyber has future projects mentioned on imdb
right now. There is a pretty notable sequel in the work that she is doing.
While we don’t know what role she might have in the movie, it looks like she
will be lending her voice talent to that of Toy Story 4. Another role
that I found her in is some sort of project named Permanent. Now it
mentions another project that she will be in called High Life. If that
wasn’t enough, there will be yet another project she’ll be in called The
Bell Jar. Boy, she sure gets around, doesn’t she?
Toy
Story 4: I still don’t know what to make of this movie. Most of us probably
found the idea of Toy Story 3 to be ridiculous, but loved the movie when we saw
it in the end. Fourth installments of movies tend to get intense hatred from
critics and fans. I’ll let you know my thought eventually when I’m able to see
it. But its release date is a long ways off. It is set for release on June
21st, 2019.
Permanent:
This is a movie comedy that is coming out sometime in 2017. The status
of the movie is listed as filming. It appears that the movie is about some
women wanting to act like another woman or something like that. Hopefully an
eventual trailer of the movie can release more information about it so I can
know more about it.
High
Life: This movie is listed as in the preproduction stage on imdb. It appears to
be about a woman and her father who are isolated and living in deep space. It
does not have a specific date mentioned, but it should be coming out in 2018.
I hope that it comes out as it sounds good and interesting.
The
Bell Jar: This movie is about a person dealing with mental illness. It says
that it is both comedy and drama so it might be like 50 First Dates. It is set
for release sometime in 2018. I’ll let you know when/if it has an actual
release date or trailer.
Peter
MacNicol: This actor left CSI: Cyber after just one season with it and then
pretty much nothing interesting has happened with him in either television or
movies. The only thing that I can make for him in terms of new projects is Tangled:
The Series. Now this will not get its own section yet. Why is that? For
now, this is not going to appear as a show until 2017. And that’s
provided that it actually becomes a show. Besides that, I’m not convinced at
the moment that Peter is going to have a long term role in the show. If he
does, I’ll be sure to report it here. There is nothing else new to report.
James
Van Der Beek: A new project in the future for this actor is something called Carters
Get Rich. It will air on Sky 1. Since Sky 1 is an international channel, I
don’t know if it will air in the US or not. I’m guessing that it probably will
at some point. Anyways, there is more information about that in the next
paragraph. I hope that this actor has a major role in it. I think that he does,
but I’m not entirely sure about it right now. We’ll see what happens. I also
noticed that he’s doing something new called What Would Diplo Do?
Carters
Get Rich: This is a comedy of some sort that relates to a family that lives in
rags wanting to reject potential riches that they think could ruin them. This
is an interesting premise, actually. I hope that it airs on PBS so I can watch
it. If not, hopefully I can get a guest reviewer for it. I can’t seem to get a
release date for it. Supposedly, it was going to be released sometime last
year, but I haven’t known any certain thing with it. I may have to remove it
from future updates as it could be a cancelled project. If it isn’t, I don’t
know why I can’t find info about it. It has an unknown release date.
What
Would Diplo Do?: This currently has a release date of sometime in 2017.
I guess that’s at least twelve months of wondering if it will result in
anything. It will be based off of the life of DJ Diplo, whoever that is. It
will air on Viceland, a channel I have never heard of before.
Shad
Moss: After all this time I’ve been doing updates, I was beginning to be
concerned that I’d never find something for him. Well, he finally has a project
in the works. It is called Superstition: The Rule of 3’s. That’s the
only new project that I see him in right now, although I’m more than glad that
he’s finally doing something.
Superstition:
The Rule of 3’s: This is a thriller movie on the belief that death occurs in
threes. I have no idea what role Shad will end up playing in the film. The
status of the film is listed as filming. It has no release date or
trailer just yet.
Charley
Koontz: It appears that he, for sure, is appearing in Captain Black. I’m
not sure what else he is doing and this could wind up with a random rating on
imdb by the posting of this update or the next update. In fact, when the new
year starts, I may have to amend any shows or movies with no known release date
even if they were set to be released in 2016. I’ll never understand what
happens with some of those films.
Captain
Black: It does not have a release date or trailer just yet. It is about a man
who has an interest in a comic character and gets in some sort of relationship
he shouldn’t have. Also, I need to work on writing my own original taglines for
movies so that I’m not just copying what someone else has written (although I
don’t think that I’m doing that). It has an unknown release date and I
may have to remove it from future updates unless I can find some sort of proof
that this is actually getting made.
Hayley
Kiyoko: She has a movie on Netflix called XOXO. I will keep mentioning
that until I’m able to see it. Another new project that she’ll be in is
something called Becks. I wonder what that will be like, although I
won’t know for sure until I see it.
XOXO:
This movie is about six people sharing some strange romantic night of some
sort. It looks like a romantic drama of some sort. It is out now as of
this update. I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to see it since it appears to
be a Netflix exclusive. I don’t know if it will ever be available on DVD for me
to watch without Netflix. I’ll check back later for more updates. I also hope
to find a guest reviewer for this movie or hope that it would be available to
rent sometime at my video store. I’m not getting Netflix just to watch this.
There is a trailer for the movie now.
Thoughts
on trailer: It looks like an interesting trailer. I’d have to say that it was a
vague trailer of some sort. I can’t tell yet if it is one of those famous
controversial trailers that make a movie look better than it is. I’m not
entirely sure if I have seen one of those. Anyways, it looks like the movie is
a fairly normal movie of some sort although it might have some weird parts to
it. The trailer does make me interested in seeing the movie. I hope that it’s
not a misleading trailer.
Now
is the point where I should post a review of the movie, but I can’t as I am not
able to watch this. If anyone reading this is able to see the movie and wants
to do a review of it, then let me know. If you want to review the movie, comment
on this post with your review. In the meantime, I’ll see if it ever gets
released to DVD so I can actually watch it out of Netflix. I don’t know if I’ll
be able to review it yet or not. I might keep this as part of the update until
I can review it or someone else does one for me.
Becks:
This is listed as in postproduction. The plot of it appears to be about a
lesbian who, after a break up, finds herself in a new unexpected relationship
of some sort that may or may not be romantic. I saw a release date of it for
last year, so I guess that it is coming out at an unknown time.
Ted
Danson: This is the only actor who would for sure not have been on a potential
season 3 of the show. And his pilot was picked up so it’s good that he can still
be on TV for now. He is appearing on The Good Place on NBC. I did find a
new project with him in it called The Wrights, which is a short of some
sort. There is nothing else new to report. Surely his time off of TV means that
he could be doing movies in the meantime, but we’ll see if that happens soon or
not.
The
Good Place: This is an NBC comedy. It is an afterlife based comedy. Ted appears
on it in a supporting role. He plays a person who designed the section of the
good place for the main characters, although it is possible he made mistakes.
The first season of this show ended. It is coming back for a second season. I
doubt that I will find out when it airs until May when the schedule is
released. That’s provided that it airs in the fall. But it will return for a
season at some point in time.
Review: The
Good Place: Status- Currently on hiatus until season 2 starts at a
currently unknown time. Why I’ve seen it- In order to review this for another
blog of mine, I watched it. Description- A comedy, a woman finds out that she
is dead, but in the good place. The main problem: she’s not supposed to be
there. Notable People- Ted Danson, who was in many shows in the past, among
them Cheers, CSI, and CSI: Cyber, is a character on the show. Kristen Bell, who
did many movies and Veronica Mars, is the main character. Pros- The show is
different and interesting. It tries to keep religion out of it so as to not
offend anyone. Cons- The idea of things going wrong with the good place in
death is a bit hard to believe. It lacks a certain amount of charm that you
would want it to have. It doesn’t seem as funny as it could be. Note to
Parents- This is borderline is terms of what is acceptable to let your kids
watch or not. Recommendation- I’d honestly just leave this is a toss-up for now
at least. Prediction- It might last a while, but I’m not sure yet if it will
last long. Reception: positive. Grade: B.
The
Wrights: Like most shorts, I have no idea how I’d be able to see it or if I
will review it. The plot is about sibling rivalry after the death of the
sibling’s father. It does sound interesting. I guess that it might be out
now, but I’m not sure how.
Anthony
E Zuiker: It would appear that for now there are no future projects in the work
for this franchise creator. He might be working on some sort of project that we
don’t know of just yet. But there is nothing known to the public yet. There is
nothing new to report.
Carol Mendelsohn: There is a new
project in store for this writer as of this update. I’m not sure where it is in
terms of happening versus not happening, but I might as well tell you about Doomsday,
a series that she might be working on. It lists her as a producer and not a
writer, but this is still something so it will count. She also have another
project in the works called Witchblade. We’ll have to see what happens
regarding that.
Doomsday: This show is set to be
released sometime in 2017. It starts as a reaction to 9/11 and people
coming up with disaster scenarios, only for the ideas to be deemed as too
dangerous. When one of these disasters ends up happening, the team has been
brought back in order to help. It sounds pretty interesting, yet kind of
obvious.
Witchblade: This is based off of a
comic book. From what I can tell, it is in the magical girls genre, although it
might have only one girl whose power comes from an object. I should hopefully
have a plot description of it in the future. The release date is unknown
at this particular time.
Ann
Donahue: There’s no new information about this writer. I’m sure that she’ll
probably find something, but I’m not sure when. As of this month, there are
still no new updates regarding this writer. I hope that she does something.
There is nothing new to report.
