For the second time in a row, this post is incomplete as this time I had to schedule it in advance of family visits or else I might have had the time to finish writing this in time. I can only hope that I can do a complete version of this post in the future such as next month. Will this keep being a problem? Maybe it will be, which is sad.
Patricia
Arquette: The main star of CSI: Cyber has future projects mentioned on imdb
right now. She does a lot, or at least did in the past. We’ll see what all she
will do in the future regarding shows she does. A new project that I see her as
doing is Severance.
Severance:
This will be a TV show. It is set to be released in 2021. The plot is
about a company that is trying to take work-life balance to a new level,
according to the internet movie database. I’m unsure which network this will be
on.
Peter
MacNicol: I can’t find much ever, if anything, for this actor. I hope that I can
avoid saying things about him in a paragraph that could easily wind up outdated
forever as I’ve been known for doing. So I came up with this one until the next
project he’s in. He will be in a new film called Our Almost Completely True
Story which we’ll see what comes of it.
Our
Almost Completely True Story: I cannot make since of the plot, other than that
it relates to Jewish people and leprechauns. Maybe it will make more sense
later. It has no release date just yet. It does not have a trailer yet
either.
James
Van Der Beek: I see a project for him called Vampirina. I won’t know for
sure about how long some of his shows will last so I hope that I’m not always
talking about them when or if they aren’t on anymore. He will also be in Fast
Foodies.
Vampirina:
This is a show about a young vampire girl who has to adjust after a move. It is
an animated Disney Junior show as vampires are a thing that kids should be
educated about in some way. It is out now. I was able to see an episode
of this so enjoy a review:
Review:
Status- Possibly still on the Disney channel. Why I’ve seen it- I watched it so
I could review it for this blog. Noteworthiness- This is based on a book
series. Description- A vampire girl and her family move from Transylvania to
the human world and we see a bunch of adventures with her new friends and
family. Notable People- James Van Der Beek plays the father of the main
character. Pros- The show largely works and is different enough to make it seem
unlike most of the other kid’s shows. Cons- Not all of it makes sense or seems
like it needs to be there. There should be more education stuff in there than
there is. Note to Parents- With this intentionally targeted for kids, you do
not have to worry about much in it. Whether or not you think there could be
issues with the theme of this involving vampires might be the only problem I
can think of about why someone would not want kids seeing this. Recommendation-
I’d put this at a toss-up. There is not much wrong with it as long as you care
about shows for kids. My Viewing Habits- I only saw this once and might not see
it again. Prediction- I don’t care enough to put something in here. Reception:
good. Grade: B-.
Fast
Foodies: This is out now on Tru TV. I have no idea what role James might
have in it. The plot basically relates to people trying to recreate a
celebrity’s favorite dish for others. I guess that James will be one of the
celebrities featured in it at one point. There is a trailer for this now.
Trailer
link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NvEpWV6rIE
Thoughts
on trailer: Well, I can’t make much out of this trailer which could mean that I
couldn’t make much out of this series if I wanted to. I’m not really interested
in food type shows so this doesn’t seem like it would peak my interest. It’s
not you. It’s me. At least I know now that this will be on Tru TV. Sorry that
its premiere has happened already.
Shad
Moss: After his planned movie finally disappeared from imdb since it seems not
to be moving forward as a project, we finally learn of something new that he
will be doing. It is F9. We’ll see if I can understand that or not.
F9: This is in theaters now. It
is an abbreviation for Fast and the Furious 9 as there have been that many thus
far. I wonder if I can get into this one first and then see any of the others
later after it. There is a trailer for it. The plot relates to the younger
brother of the main character being recruited for REVENGE! What else will
happen? I guess that I’ll have to see then.
Trailer
link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEE4RO-_jug
Thoughts
on trailer: There’s a lot going on with this that is hard to tell. Based on
what little I’ve seen of these movies (never a whole one and part of a
CinemaSins video on one), I was never expecting much realism from them. This
magnet thing would have to bring out a third version of the sin counter. It
looks like just what you would expect from this type of movie and I can’t tell
if I’d like it or not yet.
I have not yet been able to see this
movie. I hope that I can before too long. I will keep this notice in the
updates unless or until I’m able to review the new one at some point in the
future. Until then, you’ll have to wait.

Charley
Koontz: He will be in something called Eat Your Heart Out. That is all I
really see him in for now. Maybe he will do more in the future or maybe not. I
can only hope that he does more. But the less a person does, the less I have to
cover for my blog.
Eat
Your Heart Out: This has an unknown date of release at the moment. The
plot will be a bit complicated as someone literally gave his heart away and
needs to get it back in order to marry someone else. Seems strange, but I might
like it. Still, it is a short and I don’t know how I’d be able to watch any of
those. There’s a trailer for it now:
Trailer
link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfJTMnCT7Ps
Thoughts
on trailer: This looks kind of weird, but I guess that it works as an idea of
what they can do with a film like this. I don’t know why a heart would be in
pieces and can only hope that the cat didn’t eat any of them. I guess I’ll see
if I can see what the short film is like if I’m able to see it.
Hayley
Kiyoko: With no music videos that I can think of worth mentioning in this blog
and all of her time being spent on music and not TV shows or movies, I don’t
know if there is much to add in this section at the moment, but will keep it
here for now and hope that she does something new.
Ted
Danson: Surely his time off of TV means that he could be doing movies in the
meantime, but we’ll see if that happens soon or not. It looks like he is doing
more now that I can finally see. It looks like he is in a show called Mr.
Mayor on NBC.
Mr.
Mayor: In this show, a wealthy businessman becomes LA’s mayor. There is a lot
else to this show as well as there are more characters in the world that keep
up with the whole interpersonal relationships and political world that this
show is part of. It is on hiatus.
Review:
Mr. Mayor: Status- Currently on hiatus.
Why I’ve seen it- I had to see it to review for my CSI: Cyber blog.
Description- A wealthy man wants to impress his daughter and runs for mayor of
LA, an election that he unexpectedly wins, thrusting him into a new world of
politics. Notable People- Ted Danson, from Cheers, Becker, CSI, CSI: Cyber, and
The Good Place, is the main character. Tina Fey from Saturday Night Live and 30
Rock, who also created Unbreakable Kimmi Schmidt and Great News, is the creator
of this show. Bobby Monahan, also from Saturday Night Live, is a character on
this show as well. Holly Hunter, from movies, is on the show. Pros- It seems
like it is a pretty decent show. Cons- It does not have an original premise.
Note to Parents- This could be a risky thing to let your kids watch as at least
one episode focused on legalizing pot. I’d say to be careful with letting your
kids see this. Recommendation- Toss-up. My Viewing Habits- I’ve seen the pilot,
but am unsure yet if I will see any more of this over time. Prediction- It has
been renewed for season 2 set to air next season. Reception: mixed. Grade: C.
Anthony E Zuiker: Finally! After all of
this time wondering if the creator of one of TV’s longest running franchises is
ever going to work again, I see him listed as the producer in a project. He is
set to help make something called Spearfinger. And there is good news in
that he will have involvement in CSI: Vegas.
Spearfinger:
This has no release date at this time. I think that it will be a movie.
It is about a Native American legend regarding a woman with sharp fingers who
would like to frighten people. There might need to be more to the plot than
that, so we will see for sure what will happen with this project later as more
information becomes available.
CSI:
Vegas: Not much is known or could be known about this right now other than the
fact that it is going to be a new part of the CSI franchise after five years
without a franchise in around the 21st anniversary of the franchise.
It will air on CBS, but probably won’t air until later this year. The release
year is 2021. Stay tuned for more.
Teaser link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dONxebGWFUM
Thoughts on teaser: I won’t be able to
get much out of this instead of a more usual trailer that I hope comes later.
But I am interested in what they will have in store for us. I tend to stay
hooked more into shows that have cliffhangers at some point, such as during the
first episode itself in question. I just hope that the show doesn’t fail me. I
do look forward to seeing these characters more in the future.
Carol
Mendelsohn: There is a new project in store for this writer as of this update.
I’m not sure where it is in terms of happening versus not happening. I will
tell you about anything she is a producer of since I want to see something in
these updates for her. She has a project in the works called Witchblade.
We’ll have to see what happens regarding that. It appears that she will be the
showrunner for the show Law & Order: For the Defense.
Witchblade:
This is based off of a comic book. From what I can tell, it is in the magical
girls genre, although it might have only one girl whose power comes from an
object. I should hopefully have a plot description of it in the future. The
release date is unknown at this particular time. This is no longer on imbd
for reasons I don’t yet know.
Law
& Order: For the Defense: This show will air on NBC in the future at some
point in September of 2021. It might be the first part of the franchise
to focus on defense instead of the prosecution. It will air at 8/7 Central
on Thursdays.
Ann
Donahue: There’s no new information about this writer. I’m sure that she’ll
probably find something, but I’m not sure when. As of this month, there are
still no new updates regarding this writer. I hope that she does something.
There is nothing new to report.
William
Petersen: He hasn’t done much outside of CSI in the world of television or
movies as far as I can tell. I think that he’s busy with stage work, the likes
of which I will never see, probably. It turns out that he’s starring in an
important new series in terms of both this blog and other things. Sorry for
burying the lead. He will appear in CSI: Vegas.
CSI:
Vegas: Not much is known or could be known about this right now other than the
fact that it is going to be a new part of the CSI franchise after five years
without a franchise in around the 21st anniversary of the franchise.
It will air on CBS, but probably won’t air until later this year. The release year
is 2021.
David
Caruso: This CSI: Miami actor has done nothing in terms of acting for movies on
TV since the show ended. This is because he is retired from acting. I’ll still
keep him in the updates in case there is a change and he does wind up doing
something notable in the future.
Gary
Sinise: He has projects in the works like No Better Place to Die. He
will also appear in something called Zarrar. That’s all that I seem him
doing right now currently. I guess we’ll see in the future what else he might
be able to do.
No
Better Place to Die: This movie is about part of a battle during World War II.
It has no release date or trailer at the moment. To date, Gary’s role is
the only one that is in the movie right now and even his is just rumored so
we’ll see what happens.
Zarrar:
This is a Pakistan based movie from what I can tell and I won’t know for sure
what else to say about it as it seems strange what information I can gather
from it thus far. There is no release date for this yet, but hopefully
there will be at some point in time.
Anthony
LaPaglia: I don’t know much else he could be doing as that doesn’t show up
right now. Maybe he will do more or maybe not. One can only hope that he does
more, but maybe he doesn’t need to. He’ll be in something called Nitram
that will hopefully come out at some point in the US.
Nitram: This is set for release in July
of 2021. That is a France or French release date. This movie is based on
the true event of the 1996 Port Arthur massacre. I have no idea right now when
or if it will be in the US. Maybe it could be good as a movie, even while
covering a serious topic.
Laurence
Fishburne: He has a recurring role in Black-ish. But that’s not worthy of its
own section in this blog as it is not a starring role. He’ll be in a TV movie
called Rendlesham. Another thing he will be in is Crimson Blues.
He will also be in The Ice Road. He’ll be in yet another thing called Blacksmith.
He’ll also be in All the Old Knives and Under the Stadium Lights.
Yet another thing he’ll be in is Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.
More things that he is doing are Sneaks and The School for Good and Evil.
He is also set to be in a show called Bronzeville that might be on now.
Rendlesham:
This has no release date just yet. The plot relates to probably aliens
in the 80s in England. I have no idea what network it might air on just yet.
Hopefully, I will find out more about this in the future. We’ll see if this
really is aliens or is something else entirely.
Crimson
Blues: This has no release date yet. It seems to be about a police
officer who is looking for redemption after failing in a bad case year prior or
something like that. I would say that this could be good if done right.
The
Ice Road: This has been released as of now. It is a USA release year now.
The plot is about people trying to save those in a mine while having to deal
with an ice thaw coming up. It looks like it could be interesting, but I’ll
have to see later for sure. This has a trailer now that I will talk about.
Trailer
link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHEPdMqrWjE
Thoughts
on trailer: This looks cool (no pun intended). It might not seem realistic, but
I do know about the very real concept of people who drive semis on roads of ice
from the show Ice Road Truckers. I would like to see this and hope that it ends
well, although I’d be shocked if no major characters die during this movie. That
has to happen.
Since this is a Netflix movie, I will
be removing it from updates as I don’t know how I would be able to see it
without getting Netflix in the future, something that I am not yet going to do in
the future. So this will be the last time you’ll see it in the updates.
Blacksmith:
This has an unknown release date. In it, a man becomes a fugitive when
his lab is destroyed. Hopefully, more will be revealed beyond that in the
future and I hope that we’ll find out more then in the future. It could be cool
if it is made and comes out.
All
the Old Knives: The release date is unknown at the time. It is about two
federal agents and ex-lovers who have to look back on a six year ago mission to
see what might have happened to another agent. It seems like it could be
interesting.
Under
the Stadium Lights: Formerly known as Brother’s Keeper, this movie doesn’t have
much to it. It has a score on imdb. It is in theaters now. I will keep
it in the updates for now. It is the true story of a football team from Abilene
in 2009. I guess I’ll have to see the movie to find out what happens and
hopefully avoid any potential spoilers that I doubt I’ll find out about
anyways. There is a trailer for this that I will talk about now.
Trailer
link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X9PF8bmrZ44
Thoughts
on trailer: This looks like it could be good and interesting. A problem that I
see with the trailer is that it seems cliché with obvious plot points possibly
running through the whole story. But I still look forward to seeing it at some
point. I haven’t had the chance to see it yet and don’t know when I’ll be able
to. I can only hope that I will soon.
Marvel’s
Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur: This is set to air sometime in 2022. It
looks like it would be a kid’s show based off of these characters and would be
animated. There is not much else to say about this as I don’t know what network
or streaming service this will be on yet and too much of this is still unknown
at the moment.
Sneaks:
This sounds strange as it is apparently about sneakers that must find their way
through New York City to find the person it belongs to? I’m guessing this is
animated? I hope that it comes off as better looking that Everybody’s Hero,
which I never saw due to lack of interest. This has no release date or
trailer. This is no longer on imdb.
The
School for Good and Evil: In this planned movie, boys are girls are taken to a
place and trained to be either heroes or villains. It is set for release in 2022.
It looks like it will be done in a sort of anime style. This could be
interesting or could be generic.
Bronzeville:
This seems to be out now. But I don’t know much about it. I do not even
know a plot. I don’t know what network or streaming service this is on. But I
do know that it has Laurence as one of the actors in the movie at this point.
Adam
Rodriguez: We’ll see what all he might do in the future. Maybe he will do more
soon. There is still a lot of what I can hope that he does in the future, but
there largely isn’t much that I can talk about until it happens so hopefully
more will happen soon and I can see what he does.
Melina
Kanakaredes: She will be in a movie called Wake. That is all that I see
her in at the moment. She has done a lot of TV roles, be it main or recurring,
so I hope to see more of her in the future. Until then, I’ll report what I know
of what she’s done.
Wake:
This has an unknown release date at this moment. Its main focus is on a
lie of some sort that tore people apart. Something interesting must happen
beyond that. I just don’t yet know what that will be. I look forward to seeing
it, hopefully.
Marianne
Jean-Baptiste: She has acted a lot ever since Without a Trace ended. I’ll see
through time what else she appears in. She will be in something called Boxing
Day. That’s all that I’m seeing in this post for now. Who knows what else
she might do?
Boxing
Day: This is set for release in 2021, presumably in either November or
December. It is a movie inspired by a person’s life as he introduces his
fiancée to his family and learns of the life that she left behind. One wonders
if this will be like most Hallmark Christmas movies supposedly are, even though
this does not appear to be a Hallmark Christmas movie. The release is said to
be a UK one.
Kristen
Bell: She is doing a whole lot still. Let’s see if I can cover all of what’s
she’s done since The Good Place ended. She is in a TV show called Central
Park. She will also be in a reboot of Gossip Girl. She’ll also be in
Queenpins. Yet another thing she is doing is Do, Re, & Mi, a
TV show. She will also be in The Woman in the House. And one last thing
that I see now is called Molly and the Moon. She will be in Ultra
City Smiths as well.
Central
Park: This is an adult animated show on Apple TV about people who live and work
in Central Park and save both it and the world. It is available now. I
don’t think that there is too much else to say about it, other than that it’s
by the same creators as Bob’s Burgers and even seems to have the same animation
style in it too.
Gossip
Girl: This is an HBO Max reboot set to air in 2021. I never understood
the appeal of that show back then and am perfectly fine not seeing this on
cable or anywhere else. I do not know if I know anyone whom I could borrow the
original series from, although I will not rule that out. Also, didn’t they
reveal who Gossip Girl was? Is there going to be a new person doing that in the
reboot or are we just expected to forget what’s been revealed in this show
already?
Queenpins:
In this movie, there is a coupon scam that housewives want to run. It has a release
year of 2021. It does not have a trailer yet at this time. I don’t think
that there is too much else to say, outside of the fact that it doesn’t seem
that original a premise to me just yet, given the plots of Good Girls and In
the Dark. But it could be good and worth watching.
Do,
Re, & Mi: This is a kid’s show about bird friends who live in a music based
world, it seems. I’m not entirely sure what network it will air on, if it even
airs on a network at all. The release date is unknown at this time.
Maybe we’ll see in the future.
The
Woman in the House: This is a planned mini-series. I can’t find a plot for it
yet. There is no release date or trailer for it yet. The title sounds a
bit ominous so it might be strange like that or maybe not. We’ll have to see
later. Or maybe it relates to Bones with the way we see a title like that.
Molly
and the Moon: This has a currently unknown release date. It is said to
be a musical and appears to be written by the creators of How I Met Your
Mother. (Do people still like them after they ended that show?) There is no
known plot of this at the time. Maybe it will be a movie, but could be
something else. Too much of this on imdb is vague right now.
Ultra
City Smiths: This is a TV show about a celebrity’s disappearance. It is set to
start on July 22, 2021. I do not yet know what network or streaming
service this will be on. There is not a trailer for this yet. It could be
interesting, but I’d have to know more about it.
Marg
Helgenberger: Ever since her show was cancelled, we’ll have to see what else
she might be doing in the future. She isn’t doing much else right now as of yet
so we’ll just have to wonder if she will be doing more later or not.
Rory
Cochrane: It looks like he will appear in two movies or projects that might
seem like them in the future. One is called Antlers. He will also be in
something new called Invasion. That’s all that I see him doing for the
moment.
Antlers:
This is set for release on October 29, 2021. I don’t know if I hope that
it will be in theaters then or not. It is a horror film about a child with dark
secrets (because that totally hasn’t been done already before) and two siblings
who are trying to save him from some sort of horrible creature. There is a
trailer for this that I will talk about.
Trailer
link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ng5eyOfL8qM
Thoughts
on trailer: Maybe this could be more interesting than I might have thought in
the first place. It certainly doesn’t seem similar to The Sixth Sense and could
have a more original seeming aspect to it even though a lot of the plot is
similar to stuff that I know of from other horror films. It could be good in
the end. It’s hard to know now for sure.
Invasion:
In this movie, possibly a remake of others, two brothers and their father seek
to protect each other (and possibly the world as a whole) from an alien threat.
There is not a release date yet nor is there a trailer. I hope that this
is nothing like Invasion of the Body Snatchers, unless it has a better ending
than that did in the end.
Carmine
Giovinazzo: He does not appear to have any current notable projects in the
works in the future right now that I should keep track of just yet. With not
much else to say about that, I will still include him in the post until he does
something.
Eric
Close: After seeming to do only Christmas related things for a while, he is now
set to star in The Mulligan. I look forward to seeing what else he might
do in the end besides that. We’ll see if there is anything else worth
mentioning in the future.
The
Mulligan: This seems to relate to golf in some ways, but is about far more than
just that in the end. But I’d have to wait and see to know more about it. It does
not have a release date at the moment. Let’s hope that more is known in the
future.
Former
projects: In this section, I will keep track of shows that people in this blog
used to be mentioned in as doing in some way. I might keep track of other
things too. This will be used to keep track of what shows might still be on
even after someone has left it in some way. Dancing with the Stars is
one of these shows. Since Shad Moss’s time in it is over, I’m including The
Masked Singer in this part as well.
Dancing
with the Stars- This is currently on hiatus. I watched it at least once
to see what it’s like and because James Van Der Beak was on it. This is a
reality competition show where professional dancers team up with celebrities of
sorts. This will be returning in the future with a new season.
Review:
Status- Currently on hiatus. Why I’ve seen it- I watched it since James Van Der
Beek was in a season of it. Description- Celebrities team up with professional
dancers to compete on a live show. Notable People- Carrie Ann Inaba, who is
currently on The Talk, is a judge on the show. Pros- It can be better and more
interesting than one might think, giving its genre. Cons- Too much time is
wasted on this show due to set up to dances and other competitions. Note to
Parents- Outside of sometimes inappropriate outfits, there might not be too
much bad in the show, although you’d have to watch for yourself.
Recommendation- This isn’t too bad, but isn’t outstanding either. The main
reason why one wouldn’t want to watch it would be time commitment to other things.
Prediction- This will probably keep lasting. Reception: good. Grade: B-.
The
Masked Singer: I knew it was only a matter of time before someone that I
covered in one of the cast updates was on this show. Thus, I’m going to include
a review here. If I had to guess that anyone from any show I do cast updates of
was going to appear on this show, I knew that it would probably be Shad Moss
before it would be anyone else.
The
Masked Singer review: Status- Currently on hiatus. Why I’ve seen it- It turns
out that Shad Moss, whose career I follow for a blog, was on the show so I
watched it to see what it was like. Noteworthiness- This is adapted from a
South Korean show and is the first non Asian adaptation of the show.
Description- Different celebrities in masks compete on a singing show where the
loser gets unmasked. While all get unmasked at some point, the winner goes the
longest without this fate. Notable People- Ken Jeong, from Community and Dr.
Ken, is a judge on the show. Pros- This doesn’t have as bad a voting problem as
other reality competition shows since what we see is always pretaped. Even if
they aren’t professional singers, they can still be good. Cons- Some have
complained that the results of voting is too random and can eliminate great
professional singers from the game. Too much of this seems wasted on the banter
between the judges and host or trying to guess the identities of the singers. Note
to Parents- I haven’t seen enough of this to know if it is bad, but my guess is
that this is something the whole family could watch. Recommendation- I think
that it is a good show in the end and worth keeping up with if you don’t care
much about anything else. My Viewing Habits- I saw this once and don’t know yet
if I will see it again due to scheduling conflicts. Prediction- This will
probably last quite a while since it is said to be the most watched show now.
Reception: somewhat mixed. Grade: B-.
In
order to keep track of new people, this post will start sharing a theme song
from either the original CSI or CSI: New York until I’ve shared all of them in
this blog and I’ve caught up with it as a result. You will have to read my
Elementary blogs for the theme songs from CSI: Miami, although I will post any
of them here in good time if the links become dead when I check them later.
CSI season 5 theme song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnVzy5UaZwc
With
an upcoming new part of the CSI franchise set to appear in the future, I think
that I should cover songs that The Who did over the course of time. I won’t
know for sure which one that I’ll have in this blog (if any of them) will
appear as the theme song of CSI: Vegas. But I will include one each month until
the theme song is known for sure. I’ll have to make sure that the song as the
theme song is included by then if it hasn’t been already. The songs that
they’ve done thus far as theme songs in The CSI franchise are Won’t Get Fooled
Again, Baba O’Riley, I Can See for Miles, and Who Are You? Will this be the
next one that they do?
